To achieve an economical carrier network using center-controlled SDN technology, this paper presents path establishment algorithms which can reduce the number of node equipments by improving the utilization ratio.
Especially, from the view points of reducing the number of node interfaces, two kinds of algorithms are proposed. One is the algorithm which aims at avoiding interface assignment as much as possible to the link which serves less traffic than fixed quantity. The other algorithm is based on the above one and can avoid interface division loss as much as possible by setting up the upper limit of the number of interfaces to the link exceeding the bandwidth of an interface.
The simulation results show that as compared with a shortest path algorithm, the proposal ones can further reduce the number of interfaces. Also, the algorithm which sets up the number of maximum interfaces per link especially is more effective. |
