The detection method of the colon polyp using the abdominal CT Image

(in English) In the mortality rate of the colorectal cancer, men are ranked third, while women are ranked first (2012). This shows a high order, and existent of the increasing tendency. An early detection and early treatment of the colorectal cancer are important. Because of large amount of CT image is generated through the CT medical examination of the colorectal cancer, the computational diagnostic is necessary and indispensable.
In this paper, we extract the colon region, fold, and the abdominal blood vessel from abdomen CT image. We calculate the four-dimensional curvature as well. Detection of the colorectal polyp is done by making virtual unfolded view where the above-mentioned analytical information was displayed.
