A CS-USM (Coiled stator Ultra-Sound Motor) was developed for the purpose of application to medical equipments. The CS-USM is composed of the acoustic waveguide, coiled stator, rotor and transducer, that is possible to miniaturize since the simple structure. However, the problem is its low efficiency. Therefore, in order to improve the efficiency of the CS-USM, we have fabricated the Π shaped CS-USM with a quadratic driving method using a closed-loop-type waveguide. In this paper, we describe the measurement of torque and revolution speed of the Π shaped CS-USM. |
