By using the electrochemical deposition (ECD) method, many kinds of sulfide semiconductors can be fabricated using thiosulfate ions as the sulfur source. Tin monosulfide (SnS) is a p-type semiconductor with appropriate bandgap for absorber layer of solar cells. This research is focused on the effects of light irradiation during SnS deposition by ECD. Comparing SnS deposited with and without xenon light irradiation, we found that light irradiation affects the surface morphology. And heterojunctions using light-assisted ECD-SnS and photochemically deposited CdS have photovoltaic properties. |
