Effects of Interaction with Robots on Impression of Robot's Appearance

(in English) Human-interactive robots are assessed by various factors such as behavior, appearance, quality of in-
teraction, etc. In the present study, we investigated a hypothesis that impressions of a poor-looking robot will be
improved by emotional interaction with physical touch with the robot. An experiment with human subjects con-
rmed that subjective ratings of loveliness, friendliness, and familiarity were improved after two minutes physical
and emotional interaction with a poor-looking robot.
