Recently we have proposed a semi-implicit scheme with implicit time update equations only for magnetic field components as a new FDTD method with relaxed temporal stability condition. In this work, we derive the stability condition and numerical dispersion relation of the proposed scheme by using von Neumann analysis, and then evaluate its numerical dispersion errors for two-dimensional problems. Numerical properties of the scheme are compared with those of the conventional FDTD and the ADI-FDTD methods. |
