Maximum Efficiency Control of Wireless Power Transfer Using Secondary Side DC-DC Converter for Moving EV in Long Distance Transmission

(in English) Wireless power transfer (WPT) via magnetic resonant coupling provides high efficiency and long distance transmission. In order to apply WPT to the moving electric vehicle (EV), the transmitting distance have to be extended and the transmitting efficiency should be maximized. The secondary side voltage control could achieve the maximum efficiency of WPT if the primary side could obtain the constant voltage control. Therefore, the controller design is important to follow the target value regardless of the disturbance such as the acceleration and deceleration. This paper proposes the design method for the feedback controller of the secondary side voltage control. Experiments verify the validity of the maximum efficiency control for WPT to the moving EV.
