Multi-camera Video Viewpoint Recommendation Method Based on Video Context

(in English) Multi-camera videos taken by plural cameras at the same time enable audiences enjoy viewing by freely choosing the viewpoint they are interested in for events such as sports or large shows. However, it becomes difficult to choose the most suitable viewpoint for a long time when the number of selectable viewpoints increases. Therefore, it is necessary to support viewing by automatically recommending suitable viewpoint sequence. In this paper we proposed a viewpoint recommendation system by imitating the work of camera-persons and producers in real broadcasting by two kinds of agents. The agents evaluate and select the video of the viewpoints considering different viewing patterns according to video context, such as context about the position of the ball in a soccer game. The effectiveness of the automatic viewpoint sequence recommendation system is validated by a real multi-camera data set of a soccer game.
