| (in English) | In long fat networks, behavior of TCP congestion controlling algorithms has large effect on communication performance. With TCP Reno, which is the classical standard TCP algorithm, enough performance cannot be obtained in current networks. For this issue, many TCP algorithms have been proposed. In Linux OS, CUBIC TCP is implemented and used as the default TCP algorithm. On this TCP, we proposed a method for improving RTT fairness, and it was demonstrated that existing method could improve RTT fairness of CUBIC TCP. In this paper, we focus on TCP fairness between CUBIC TCP and TCP Reno. First, we evaluate TCP fairness between standard CUBIC TCP and TCP Reno, and evaluated that between the existing method and TCP Reno. Then, we demonstrate that the fairness of the existing method is less than that of the standard CUBIC TCP. Second, we present discussion on the reason of fairness decline of the existing method, and proposed a method for improving fairness of the existing method. Third, we evaluate TCP fairness of the proposed method and show that TCP fairness can be improved by this method. | |
