A Proposal of Synchronization Method for Multi-Rate Physics Simulation Using a Haptic Controller

(in English) The aim of the research is to build a high definition haptic system with a low update rate rigid body simulation regardless of the ability of a general PC environment.In the system used in this research,a global simulation that deals the whole virtual world with a low update rate run on the pc.On the other hand, a local simulation that deals the operating object and objects at around it with a high update rate on a haptic controller.In this paper, we propose a method to synchronize between the two simulations.The proposed method ensures the consistency of the physics simulation and allows to present the whole contact force.
