Packet Error Rate Estimation of Direct-Sequence Spread-Spectrum Communication System Considering Frequency of a Narrow-Band Disturbance

(in English) A method to estimate the degree of quality degradation of digital wireless communication by measuring amplitude probability distribution (APD) of disturbance was proposed. In order to apply this method to the direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) system, we estimate packet error rate (PER) considering the processing gain of DSSS. As narrow-band disturbances we use continuous wave and modulated wave. The processing gain is calculated from frequency of a narrow-band disturbance. From the above, we estimate PER from carrier to interference ratio (CIR) and frequency of the disturbance. In addition, we estimate CIR for a fixed PER level. Finally, we verify that the estimation results are consistent with measurement results.
