[Poster Presentation] Study on Social Influence Modeling Through Dynamic Color Mixing Processes

(in English) Social influence factors can be quite useful in information and communication services, such as social networking services, information sharing, social event management and so on. Recent years researchers have been trying to utilize people's social factors in many topics, like recommendation system, decision making, behavior predicting and so on. However, they mainly focused on estimating final results of people's decisions or actions, few of them ever considered medium processes that explain how people's attitudes would change. Besides, some realistic factors and questions which widely exist in our common lives and take high influence levels are rarely well considered, such as interactions between people and people, unequal relationships in social ties and so on. In this paper, we propose a dynamic model by exploiting people's social ties to study on social influence processes. Our proposed model has a high scalability to suit different and complex social influence cases. We also define and make use of different parameters to validate our ideas. By taking advantage of a machine learning technique, we compare the results from the machine learning method and our proposed model.
