Recently cloud service provides that tenant user can build their own network topology and communication control on the virtual machines even though some tenants make same IP-segments.
This technology can be realized communication control node using by the network namespace. However, the network namespace exists on only kernel space, and can't share other nodes. If one communication control node goes down, tenant that their own namespace is placed on the node can't communicate even though other nodes operate normally.
Therefore, communication control node using network namespace has problem that can be single point of failure for network communication system.
This paper discusses the way to improving communication disconnect time considering the failover of communication control nodes using the network namespace, and proposes a new high availability platform using NEUTRON for network component of OpenStack. |
