A Study on TCP Congestion Avoidance Algorithm with Bi-directional Digital FPU System

(in English) Television broadcasters use Field Pick-up Unit (FPU) to transfer video by a wireless link. Recently file-based production systems are now being introduced. So it is preferred to transfer a video file as it is, but the traditional FPU which is a simplex and fixed-rate system cannot do it. We are developing a new TDD-based bi-directional FPU for file-based production system which enable to send video files with TCP/IP. In this report, we considered a new TCP congestion algorithm for FPU and evaluated the algorithm with a prototype FPU system.
