A hybrid Trefftz finite element analysis was presented to compute eigenmodes in electromagnetic waveguides with a uniform structure in the propagation direction.We had reported formulation of using Trefftz elements and vector elements. However, we analyzed waveguides modeled by the only Trefftz elements.So, we analyzed propagation characteristics of a holey fiber modeled by the vector elements and the Trefftz elements.Utility and validity of this analysis were confirmed by comparing with the results of the vector elements and the multipole method. |
