Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper describes acoustic information processing techniques for multi-party conversational speech recorded by attendees’ smartphones. “Dialogue group detection” and “speaker diarization” are essential techniques for processing such conversational speech. In this paper, we propose baseline methods for the two techniques and evaluate their performance. In order to build the speech database for the evaluation, 7 hours of speech data are collected from 15 multi-party conversations by using multiple smartphones. Our proposed group detection method converts acoustic data recorded by each attendee’s smartphone into a high-order feature vector, and then employs a cluster analysis for a set of the vectors. Experimental results show that the best purity calculated from the estimated dialogue groups is 89.5%. Our speaker diarization method detects voice segments of each smartphone owner from the speech data recorded by his/her own smartphone. It is based on the same framework as that of speech recognition, and uses speaker models of all attendees. Experimental results show that the best detection rate (F-measure value) is 64.4%.
