Experimental Measurements of IEEE 802.11n in 5 GHz Band

(in English) This report discusses an application of IEEE 802.11n to a link between mesh nodes to improve throughput performance. IEEE 802.11n can use 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. The 2.4 GHz band, however, is not suitable for large data transmissions because a lot of wireless LAN nodes exist in this band and available bandwidth is limited. In the 5 GHz band, there are three channel groups: W52, W53, and W56. In Japan, we can use only W56 outside. We investigate basic performances of IEEE 802.11n in 5 GHz band.
