A Study of Fast Tracking Equalization for SC-FDMA and OFDM Systems in Multipathfading Environment

(in English) In this paper, SC-FDMA and OFDM systems with fast tracking equalizer based on RLS algorithm in multipath fading environments are proposed. First, the proposed SC-FDMA and OFDM systems equalize receiver signals with reference signals on each sub-carrier in the frequency domain at the receiver. Then, the fast tracking equalization with the received data carried out. Compared to the results of computer simulations with LMS and RLS algorithms, the improvement of BER Performance on the systems with fast tracking equalizer based on LMS algorithm is about 2~3 times higher than the conventional systems with only the initial equalization when the Doppler frequency is 200Hz. Moreover, the systems based on RMS algorithms can improve BER performance about 2~3 times than the systems based on LMS algorithm. Furthermore, the SC-FDMA system has an advantage of about 1.9~2.8 dB in PAPR performance compared with OFDM system.
