| (in English) | Ultra-high definition television (UHDTV) is designed to have a wider color-gamut than HDTV. Color-gamut conversion or mapping is needed when we utilize UHDTV materials in HDTV. In a conversion from a wide gamut to a narrow one without changing hue, it is desirable that perceived hue corresponds well to that predicted by a color model. We performed subjective assessments to evaluate perceived hues in the UHDTV color gamut. The results indicated that some perceived hues deviate from the constant hue angles in the CIELAB color space. | |
