Estimating Multiple Living-Body Locations Using MIMO Radar

(in English) We have proposed a localization method using MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) radar in indoor environment. In this method, the direction of living-body at transmitters and at receivers are estimated by applying DOA (Direction of Arrival) estimation method. However, it has a problem that false images are generated when multiple targets exist. In this report, we propose a localization method of multiple targets by eliminating false images, where relationship between targets and eigenvalues are identified. The measurement results show that the location error in 90% value of CDF (Cumulative-Distribution-Function) is 0.45 m when the false images are eliminated using inner product of the eigenvector and the steering vector. These results indicated that multiple living-body locations can be estimated with high accuracy even in a multipath environment.
