Automatic blood vessel-based liver segmentation through the portal phase abdominal CT dataset

(in English) Blood vessel (BV) based liver segmentation has showed high performance [1] achieving rank 1 on sliver07 (the official website for liver segmentation). This method is semi-automatic including small number of interactions in segmentation and classification of abdominal blood vessel (ABVs) stage. For mainly full automation of this method, we propose an automatic method for ABVs segmentation through contract enhanced CT images. Volumetry of bone, kidneys and BVs in the abdomen are estimated and used for ABVs segmentation based on shape and location information.
