A Pull-Based Data Dissemination in Content Centric Vehicular Networks

(in English) This paper proposes a pull-based data dissemination method using random linear network coding (RLNC) in content centric vehicular networks (CCVNs). In the proposed method, an interest is transmitted for collecting a linearly coded data chunk, not for collecting a specified native data chunk. Thanks to the RLNC, the probability for a user to receive redundant chunks from multiple nodes is low. Therefore, content download delay is short. We evaluate the performance of the proposed method via computer simulations, and confirm that the proposed method is effective to improve content download delay performance without increasing the network load.
