Disaster Detection and Identification of Disaster Types Considering Crowd Behavior for Emergency Rescue Evacuation Support System

(in English) A number of people are killed or injured due to sudden disaster such as fire, terrorism and earthquake recently all over the world. The cause is failed to escape by the recognition delay of disaster. Various researches are done in order to reduce disaster victims. As an evacuation support system for disaster evacuees, sensor networks can be cited as a typical. However, there are problems of a sensor network. It requires great cost and when sensors and servers break down by a disaster or aging, there is a possibility that a system may not work. To solve this problem, we are developing ERESS (Emergency Rescue Support System) as a system that provides evacuation support in real time.
In this research, we propose a Disaster Detection algorithm and Identification algorithm of Disaster Types considering crowd behavior for ERESS. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms by emergency evacuation experiments. As a result, we found that disaster detection time is reduced and identification of disaster types is possible.
