| (in English) | This paper proposes a novel terahertz wireless communications system using microwave communications. In the proposed system, access point is equipped with a microwave transceiver and terahertz transmitters and station is equipped with a microwave transceiver and a terahertz receiver in order to reduce the implementation cost and energy consumption without decreasing gains from terahertz communications. In the proposed system, a downlink flow is transmitted by using terahertz communications and uplink flow and a part of control messages for terahertz communications are transmitted by using microwave communications. In this paper, we discusses the system model and the media access control mechanism. |
