To support a deaf or hard of hearing person learning in an education institution or participating in a social activity, we proposed and developed a Web-based remote speech-to-text interpretation system. Until now, a speech-to-text interpretation using the dedicated software has been mainstream. So, some approaches applying the same software to remote speech-to-text interpretation were proposed. However, because they are restricted to network environment and the OS, these approach often has difficulty in introduction and utilization. In this paper, we describe a development of interpretation system which can interpret speech to text on the Web. If users access a server by a Web browser, our system is easily available anytime. In addition, we introduce the result that interpreters tested interpretation by our system. |
