[Invited Talk] Development of an Instruction Set Simulator and Application to a Satellite Simulator

(in English) Verification of operational procedures and training the crew to operate it are essential for reliable operation of a satellite. Satellite manufacturers provide satellite simulators as a part of ground system for that purpose. These satellite simulators are computer systems that emulate satellite's behavior at higher speed than real satellites.
Mitsubishi Electric's satellite simulators use ISS (instruction set simulator) of CPU to realize correct emulation of satellites. The ISS is able to get same calculation results as the real satellite by executing the binary image of software for the real satellite. To apply an ISS to a satellite simulator, we have worked on improving simulation speed and ensuring simulation accuracy. In this presentation, we show recent efforts about development of the ISS embedded in our satellite simulators.
