Throughput Analysis of Binary Countdown Scheme Using Spread Spectrum Technique

(in English) The throughput and the packet success rate of the conventional binary countdown scheme are impaired by the hidden node problem. The authors have proposed the modified binary countdown scheme using the relay node and the extended prime sequence code. This scheme can alleviate the hidden node problem. The basic idea is to decrease the number of ready nodes in the communication area of the relay node. In this paper, the theoretical equations of the packet success rate and the throughput is derived. Moreover, the proposed scheme is compared with the conventional binary countdown schemes. As a result, it is found that the proposed scheme achieves higher throughput than the conventional binary countdown scheme using orthogonal codes when E_{b}/N_{0}=∞.
