Study on Efficiency Improvement by Input Voltage Control for Wireless Power Transmission Using Magnetic Resonance
Yoshiaki Narusue, Yoshihiro Kawahara, Tohru Asami (Tokyo Univ.) WPT2014-36
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Variations of a mutual inductance and a load resistance decrease power efficiency dramatically.
As a solution for this problem, a DC-DC converter based optimum load resistance tracking method was proposed. However, our analysis in this paper shows it is difficult to track the optimum load resistance by using the method in a system including a switching regulator. To overcome this problem, we propose an input voltage control based optimum load resistance tracking method and derived conditions to realize it. Circuit simulation results validate the proposed method.
