Study on a Small Folded Inverted-L Antenna

(in English) We have investigated a folded inverted--L antenna (FILA) and introduced equations with respect to the limitation of theoretical bandwidth. Miniaturization of the conventional FILA was not enough because the FILA consists of a perpendicular substrate to the ground plane. In the paper, we study two different types of FILA in order to miniaturize the antenna compared with the conventional one. Miniaturization ratio of the FILAs with a product of bandwidth and efficiency ($Beta$ product) is estimated. As a result, improvement of 15.8 % about $Beta$ product was obtained in comparison with that of the conventional FILA.
