Packet Aggregation and Segregation Mechanism over Named Data Networking

(in English) Data Networking (NDN) is a clean slate future Internet architecture optimized for today’s demand, which is to retrieve contents efficiently. The Internet is mainly used to retrieve contents in terms of traffics. In NDN, communications can be done based on the names of contents instead of IP addresses. The name-based routing and in-network caching functions of NDN optimize communications. Users can retrieve content only by sending a request packet, which includes the requested content name. However, when a user retrieves many contents or many users request large content at the same time, the user needs to send many number of request packets. It may cause network congestions. In this paper, we propose a mechanism that enables users to request contents only by sending one aggregated request packet and that the contents can be aggregated in networks, which can reduce the network loads.
