Asphalt Pavement Performance Model of Airport and Highway By PALSAR on board ALOS Satellite ○Suanpaga Weerakaset(Kasetsart Univ.)・Yoshikazu Kamiya(JAXA) SANE2014-85 |

The purpose of this study is to develop the binary logit model of an airport and Highway pavement that could be monitor the pavement condition in near real time by using microwave remote sensing satellite, then the relationship between the international roughness index (IRI) of asphalt pavement and backscattering values from PALSAR images of the ALOS satellite was determined. This model could be applied to evaluate the efficiency of the airport pavement and highway pavement in term of the quality of service of running on both pavements. The analysis showed that the backscattering values in the HH and HV polarization have the correlation with IRI, and in HH polarization has the highest correlation with IRI value (r = 0.9088). If the backscattering value in HH polarization is increased, the roughness will be increased. After applied each models to other airport and highway pavement, those models have 96.41% and 97.00% as following of the collection percentage, then it can be concluded that this model could be applied to the airport and highway pavement maintenance. |
