Analysis of Convergence and Accommodation while Viewing 3D Movies

(in English) When people watch 3D movies, they sometimes experience discomfort that may be caused by a mismatch of convergence and accommodation. Here we simultaneously analyzed the convergence and accommodation of subjects watching 3D movies, focusing on the amount of disparity on the 3D image as a parameter. It turned out that both convergence and accommodation changed more in front of the screen than the convergence and accommodation estimated by the disparity on the screen. Moreover, the change of convergence and that of accommodation showed same tendency.
