Direct Spectrum Division Transmission (DSDT) and sub-spectrum suppressed transmission are introduced to achieve highly efficient frequency usage on satellite transponder for satellite communication systems. Single-carrier modulation signal is directly divided into sub-spectra by DSDT and some sub-spectra are suppressed at the transmitter in order to reduce total occupied bandwidth. We have proposed equalization processing with autologous spectrum regeneration (ASR) to reduce inter symbol interference (ISI) due to the sub-spectrum suppression for the receiver. Since we have developed prototype transceivers that realize DSDT-based sub-spectrum suppressed transmission and ASR equalization, the experimental evaluation results over Ku band satellite link are showed in this paper. |
