Recently, MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology is introduced in various small terminals. If MIMO technology is mounted on a compact body, decoupling methods must be needed. In previous studies, a decoupling method for 2×2 MIMO using branch shape antenna has been developed. However, in this method, inductors which are inserted in branch antenna elements were required and these inductors caused a great loss. This paper proposes a decoupling method for 2×2 MIMO using meander branch shape without inductors. It is confirmed that the proposed method provides higher radiation efficiency and lower correlation coefficient. |
