Optical leaky wave antenna by waffled waveguide

(in English) This report presents an optical leaky wave antenna by waffled waveguide as a beam scan antenna for optical wireless communication. The beam is steered in a range of 60 degrees by switching 5 antennas for a wavelength sweeping from 1500 to 1600 nm. The antenna gain is increased by 10dB using waffle structure compared with grating waveguide. This antenna system provides the communication range more than 30 m for 0.2 mW input power.
