Compressed parametric ultrasound imaging

(in English) This study is concerned with ultrasound images obtained from low frequency directive sound source with relatively high range resolution. Although one of the techniques to realize such system is to use parametric sounds with high directivity, the range resolution of that is law as the resolution of linear sounds. To improve the low range resolution of the parametric sound, a pulse compression technique has been applied. The purpose of this report is to realize the compressed parametric sound imaging. Fundamental experiments were carried out using chirp modulated ultrasounds with a center frequency of 2.1 MHz in water. The results reveal that the proposed method is feasible for a low-frequency ultrasound imaging with relatively high range resolution.
