A calculation model of shadowing loss caused by a moving human body and its validation by experiments

(in English) As link quality is affected by shadowing of a moving human body in 60GHz band. we need a countermeasure technique such as diversity, adaptive beam-forming and fast session transfer. In order to evaluate the performance improvement by these techniques, we need a channel model for computer simulation. However, Characteristics of shadowing characteristics such as shadowing loss and fading period are significantly affected by the propagation environments, the position of TX and RX antenna and moving direction of a human body. Therefore, it seems promising to use ray-tracing based computer simulations and it is indispensable to develop a calculation model of shadowing loss by a moving human body. This report proposes an advanced calculation model which can be used in any propagation environments and compares the calculation results with the measured results for validation of calculation model.
