Human's activity intensity estimation leads to many applications, for example HEMS energy saving,
health index monitoring and traffic jam estimation. In this field, generative mixture models have been a popular solution, which is suitable for multi task learning and modeling the periodicity. However, the estimation by mixture models need a partial data of observation.
In this paper, we introduce a discriminative framework for estimation based on external factor. This model is based on two ideas, bilinear regression and matrix factorization, related to periodicity and multi task learning respectively. The experimental result with long-term real sensor data shows t
hat the proposed model outperform the other models. |
