Study on Comprehensive Physiological and Psychological Evaluation with Fuzzy Reasoning in Visually Induced Motion Sickness

(in English) Viewing a highly realistic images, the symptom called Visually Induced Motion Sickness (VIMS) like the motion sickness happens to occur. The time-series of VIMS has been modeled such that symptom is assumed that stimulus is motion vectors of real images and responce is autonomic nervous responses. The time-series is composed of trigger and accumulation factors. An accumularion factor has long time scale because it relates to an autonomic nervous system as a background activity, while a trigger factor has short time scale because of direct effects of vision. Physiological evaluation can evaluate a trigger factor, but it is influenced by psychological state. Thus, the response is influenced by some factors. The response are influenced by some factors that are irrelevant to discomfort: e.g. high realistic sensation, exhilarating feeling, etc. In this study, we estimated the stress with fuzzy reasoning. Then, input data are low frequency (LF) and high frequency (HF)components of the heart rate variability (HRV) and 20 step discomfort level of psychological evaluation.
