Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, with the revolution of smartphones, many people preserve some private information in smartphone which are contact address, images, user-name, password and etc. On the other hand, the numbers of missing or stolen smartphone are up to about 100,000 in Tokyo. As a countermeasure of current company for protecting private information, it is possible to lock a screen remotely and to stop of line. However, even if the line is stopped, it is possible to connect to the Wi-Fi. Also, method of disabling screen-lock is known. Therefore, in order to improve the degree of safety for protecting private information against theft or missing hardware-based protecting circuit is required. Thus, we focus on the characteristics of a hardware Trojan circuit, which can limit some functions of LSI. Original hardware Trojan technology is the illegal circuit, which is embedded directly inside of LSI. If the trigger condition is fulfilled, it can start a different behavior from normal specification and perform subversive activity, which are network interruption, system halt and outflow of information. This circuit has characteristics that are physically inserted in the LSI, so it is hardly noticed from outside and it cannot be removed as a software virus. In this study, to utilize this characteristic conversely, the hardware Trojan in issued for increasing degree of security. The proposed circuit regards user information as the trigger. Furthermore, this becomes to utilizing hardware Trojan characteristics that is difficult to be discovered from outside and not to be able to remove and provided with the function limiting mechanism.
