[Poster Presentation] Performance Analysis of the Hybrid SSDs in Consideration of Error-correcting code

(in English) The performance of SSDs is guaranteed by error-correcting code (ECC). The longer parity size of ECC is, the higher error correcting capability becomes while the processing time increases. The Hybrid SSD is composed of NAND flash and storage-class memory (SCM). Then significantly high performance is demonstrated compared with conventional SSD with only NAND flash. SCMs are non-volatile and superior to NAND flash memory in terms of performance and power consumption. The candidates for SCMs are MRAM, PRAM, ReRAM etc. In this paper, the relationship between the performance of SSDs and impact of ECC is examined.
