Template Length in Similar Play Retrieval based on Motions

(in English) This paper proposes the method to find a similar motion from videos. The method uses only motion compensation vector information extracted from MPEG-1 encoded videos. And the method finds the similar motion in the baseball video. The method creates the space-time map from motion compensation vector information. The space-time map is a thing one-dimensional compressed based on the line information and row information. The method compares a template image and space-time map by the correlation to find the similar motion. Paying attention to the length of a template, this paper discusses, the difference of the performances among the templates of various lengths.
