In this paper, we consider a power network with multiple synchronous machines (generators and motors) exhibiting a collective swing dynamics and aim at a hierarchical evaluation of stability in the network. We first decompose an energy function of the entire power network into potential energies of every machines, kinetic energy of the collective motion of all the machines (Center-Of-Inertia: COI), and kinetic energies of motion of every machines relative to the COI. As a main result, we derive a hierarchical sufficient condition of stability in the entire network in terms of these energies. |
