[Invited Talk] A small multi-band antenna for wireless sensor networks

(in English) Wireless sensor networks, which are sometimes called “M2M”or “IoT”, have been growing as the fundamental system in the social human life. Frequencies allocated to the wireless sensor networks are increasing due to the expand of the systems and wireless devices. If the wireless devices can be operated using any frequency bands allocated to the systems, it is very advantageous for the systems to be flexibly constructed. In this paper, we have studied the possibility of antenna systems installed at wireless devices which can be operated in any frequency band from 400MHz, 900MHz, 1.2GHz, 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. The analysis and design results of a key multi-band antenna for the antenna system comprised of helical elements, which are electromagnetically coupled by a loop element, have been presented.
