[Poster Presentation] A study of optical code division multiplexing with dimming control using modified pseudo orthogonal M-sequence sets

(in English) In this paper, the new dimmig control method that using pseudo orthogonal M-Sequence set is pro- posed. Furthermore, the new Variable Multi-pulse Pulse Position Modulation (VMPPM) system that combines MPPM with proposed dimming control method is proposed. In the VMPPM system, r slots are selected from n slots and sequences for data transmission are generated to each selected r slots according to source data of log2 nCr + r [bit/frame]. VMPPM can also achieve multiplexing by allocating sequences to multi users. Additionally, VMPPM can represent the dimming level of n − r + 1 stages by using the empty n − r slots. Moreover, the error rate performance of VMPPM is evaluated through theoretical analysis by taking into account human eye response. Also, we evaluate error rate performance and the spectral efficiency of VMPPM. Consequently, VMPPM shows high spectral efficiency and flexible dimming performance.
