A Study on Antenna Configurations for MIMO system using Analog Beamforming

(in English) Recently, radio access technologies for fth generation (5G) over higher frequency bands have been extensively studied. The authors had already check the performance of Massive MIMO technologies that utilize higher frequency band, and we proposed Sub-Array APAA(Adaptive Phased Array Antenna) MIMO that is consist of MIMO processing and analog beamforming by Sub-Array APAA. In other hand, here is alternative antenna structure that be called as Full-Array APAA-MIMO. In Full-Array APPA-MIMO, one antenna element is shared by several transmission signals. So, it achieve wide aperture in same antenna allocation area size. In this paper, we consider the proper antenna con guration for 5G system. In particular, we evaluate the performances of these antenna con gurations for spatial multiplexing and sub-carrier frequency division multiplexing in OFDM. In addition, we also propose the user-diversity scheme in Analog beamforming in frequency selectivity environments.
