| (in English) | A market of digital signage systems has been growing up. At the same time, cost reduction is required for further market growth. As a large display panel is expensive, configuring a big signage display with small panels is effective for decreasing hardware cost. However, interconnection and synchronization between display panels are required. Wireless communication is one of cost-effective solutions for the problems. In this paper, we propose a digital signage system in which contents are shared and displays are precisely synchronized by wireless LAN. Synchronization are based on our previous work on synchronized control over IEEE 802.11 timing synchronization function. As a first study of the system, we measured precision of timing signal acquired at a Windows application from wireless LAN chip. In result, approximately 90 % of samples are in less than 1 ms jitter, and measured maximum jitter is 6.2 ms. The result shows that our proposed system has potential to meet a required synchronization performance. | |
