Development of a real-time power and impedance sensor for wireless power transfer systems

(in English) The improvement of the power transmission efficiency is one of the big issue of high-power wireless power transfer systems.DAIHEN has proposed V-I sensor(the product name is "Viφ") as a solution of this issue, it is important to know how much power loss between transmission and receiving coils in the system. The common method to measuring power loss is using network analyzer in "off-line". However, since the transmission properties will change by environment and temperature, the "on-line" measuring equipment which can measure the power during power feeding in real time is necessary. Viφ make possible to measure frequency, voltage, current and phase in real-time, then, it calculate impedance and power by these values. As a result, we could know power efficiency, coil impedance, matching frequency and so on. In this paper, we show the effect as means of the improving the efficiency by optimizing circuit parameter from measured values of "Viφ" at 85kHz. And we also show the accuracy by comparing with network analyzer.
