Multi-channel echo canceller is one of important ultra-realistic communication technologies to realize Network Supported Collaborative Work (NSCW). Previously, we proposed the multi-channel echo canceller to rapidly estimate echo paths from loudspeakers to microphones and evaluated its effectiveness via subjective evaluation. In this paper, we propose networked multi-channel acoustic echo canceller. The multi-channel acoustic echo canceller is worked on the cloud and only the input/output devices and AD/DA converter are required at the local sites. NSCW can be realized without additional specific software and hardware devices. However, in order to work stably, the problems such as jitter or delay caused by IP network need to be resolved. In this paper, we evaluate fundamental performance of the networked multi-channel acoustic echo canceller. Then we indicate issues to be solved and show its fundamental solutions. |
