We have already proposed two vehicle detection methods, our method 1 and our method 2, using thermal images taken with an infrared thermal camera. We have developed our new method 2 based on our method 2 to increase the vehicle detection accuracy. In this report, we propose our new method 2. By combining our two methods, our method 1 and our new method 2, high vehicle detection accuracies are realized under various environmental conditions which involve poor visibility conditions. We also propose a traffic flow automatic surveillance method using traffic information obtained by our two methods, and show the effectiveness of our proposal. |
